Attorney Peng previously served as a tenured judge at a Beijing district court and as legal counsel for NetEase Group. He has independently handled over 2,000 intellectual property civil and commercial, administrative, and criminal cases. He is well-versed in the laws, regulations, and adjudication rules governing the field of intellectual property, and is skilled in applying a cross-disciplinary “tri-track” civil-administrative-criminal approach along with systematic thinking to resolve complex legal issues. He has extensive courtroom experience at the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, the Beijing Higher People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Court, and is capable of providing enterprises with comprehensive, one-stop, high-quality intellectual property legal services. Attorney Peng has handled landmark cases including “Sina v. Phoenix Sports — China’s First Live Sports Broadcast Case,” the “3Q War Unfair Competition Dispute,” and the “Abbott Baby Formula Tin Design Patent Infringement Case.” These cases have been recognized among the “Top Ten Intellectual Property Judicial Protection Cases of Chinese Courts” and the “Top Ten IP Judicial Protection Cases of Beijing Courts.” His work has been covered by CCTV, Legal Daily, Beijing Evening News, People’s Daily Online, and other major media outlets. He has been invited to participate in academic forums organized by the School of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law at China University of Political Science and Law, the Law School of University of International Business and Economics, the Internet Society of China, bar associations, and intellectual property protection centers, among others.
