Recently, the Shipbuilding Industry Sub-Center of China’s Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Guidance Mechanism announced its latest list of experts. Gary Wu of Beijing Kangrui Law Firm was selected into the first group of legal experts of the Sub-Center, in recognition of his profound expertise in intellectual property law and extensive experience in patent enforcement and litigation. In this role, he will provide professional legal services to help Chinese shipbuilding enterprises enhance their capabilities in IP risk prevention and dispute response in the course of “going global.”

Gary Wu graduated from Nanchang University and the University of Washington (U.S.), and holds both science/engineering and legal academic backgrounds. He is well-versed in Chinese, U.S., and European patent systems, and has represented numerous domestic and international clients in a wide range of matters, including patent analysis and invalidation, infringement litigation, due diligence, and legal risk assessments. In recent years, he has also represented and assisted Chinese companies in multiple overseas IP disputes. He has been recognized by domestic and international media as an “Outstanding IP Lawyer” and a “National Five-Star Patent Attorney.” In addition, Gary Wu has been appointed as an overseas IP dispute response expert by the Intellectual Property Protection Centers of Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Hunan.
